With the Internet and worldwide communications developing at an alarming rate, it’s quite easy to hide behind our websites and remain quite anonymous.
My name is Paul Roberts, and I started ROBO Design in February 2001. When using the Internet I saw many sites that were badly constructed and difficult to use. The worst were the e-commerce Sites, which many had extremely bad navigation, no mention of GST, and made purchasing online a complicated affair. Some e-commerce sites would allow negative quantities to be added, whilst others were not providing a secure arrangement for transmitting credit card details. When dealing with sensitive information, there can be no room for compromise.
I felt there was a need both in New Zealand and overseas for competitive e-commerce web design that combines simplicity, ease of use, suited to New Zealand conditions, security and provides a safe welcoming environment for a user to place payments.
To achieve this, over a 4 year period considerable time and money has been invested in developing our own in-house developed programming.
I come from a computer aided design background prior to website development with considerable programming experience over the last 10 years. I am also married with two children.
